Some of those recs were quite good but some of those were pretty bad. But that's just my opinion so have it or leave it. I ordinarily avoid sakurademonalchemist since they pretty much only write OCs based upon fanon instead of the characters but they take some neat ideas. (forgot the name, only the guy who used his Swamp flames on her to preserve her) is Kawahira. I'k merely waiting for her to meet Kawahira for the reunion/reaction. She's finally not solitary and sees a familiar face. The vision about her in a car with a person who is probably Kawahira is as well really interesting, only given the inactivity of the fic, it'll exist a long fourth dimension before this fic is updated, if it ever is, so we won't see what is probably Jai leaving the Arcobaleno during the Future arc.

Is Reborn here raising him to re-ignite the Fire? Would, like, the Vongola exist the official watchers of it or something? What is the 9th, then? How the fuck old is the 9th? How the fuck does anyone oppose the juggernaut that is a LoC, anyways? And so there'southward the whole Guardian thing: requite Tsuna them? Give them to someone else? Ignore them altogether? My best guess would be that it's an empathy thing. It's easy to relate to having a shitty dad, there are lots and lots of horrible parents out in that location. If you didn't take bad parents, odds are someone you know did.
Its not as easy to relate to the bug a murderous psychopath causes. Very few people are murderous psychopaths, very few people know them or deal with their problems. So at that place's a lot less personal empathy or attachment.
Likewise, Ive read style more fics where Xanxus isn't a deranged mass murder than ones where he is. Not a writer just to me it seems like it'south easier to reinterpret Xanxus as not deranged than it is to get Iemitsu's actions to look like anything but absent father at best.

The whole Heaven Attraction thing has been taken to pretty ridiculous lengths. While I don't necessarily dislike the idea of Flames drawing to ane another, or even of powerful skies pulling people into their sway, a lot of stories accept it to almost literally soul bond levels, with stuff like Reborn immediately falling in beloved because of someone's powerful Sky Flames and devoting themselves to them. Or having anyone who doesn't have a Heaven portrayed as missing something, inherently wanting for one, etc., like it'south a deficiency, in and of itself. It makes everything about Skies, not because of who they are, but because they're Skies. And doing stuff similar boiling down the Guardian'southward friendships similar that...no. Only no.Is anyone else getting tired of the fanon that Harmonization ways magic enforced friendship or something worse?
Just equally bad, if not worse, are the fics that like to eddy down characters to merely their Flames, and then that such and such person volition act in such and such mode. I call up beingness really annoyed when someone tried to define everything nearly Reborn in his Flames, with a bunch of made up terminology, and stuff like being an Inverted Sun and any to fix him apart from some kind of standard.
The thing nearly KHR, though, is that when you actually look at people of the same Flame type, they run the fucking gamut. They're people first, and powers 2d. Hayato is a Storm, sure, but he's a long fucking way from being similar Fon. Skull is a Deject, equally is Hibari. Your Flame blazon is a trait y'all have, but your personality on the whole. Defining people past their Flames instead of by who they are but misses the signal.
Just I swear to God, I'm going to write a fic at some point with a agglomeration of fanon cliches and just have the MC going 'Expect...what? No.'

So I was looking through both the fanfic archives and this thread for any good fics I might have missed and actually institute a off-white few--that Neuro crossover was a hidden gem that I would never have expected, I must admit--but a lot more than trash. Ane issue I found myself running into repeatedly--and almost immediately ruining the fics in question for me--was an odd double standard among the fandom and how it judges people, specially relative to, say...Iemitsu. Like, pretty much every fic I've found, even the skilful fics, are happy to forgive Xanxus for everything he's ever done, blame other people for it, and by and large pigment him in a positive a light every bit physically possible. Whereas Iemitsu is certainly a shitty dad, an rightfully called on information technology, simply is made into the devil by the fandom. I've seen him every bit violently abusive, I've seen him forget her kid's gender, I'd seen him forget when his child was born--and not just by days or weeks but being off by years, thinking his adult child was a teenager, which goes by fail into a apartment-out medical condition.And, similar, I get disliking Iemitsu; he'south not winning whatever popularity contests from me, either.
